Limits
The

please go to the DNR website.
Walleye;
4, all Walleye between 19.5 and 28
inches must be released, you may
take one trophy over 28 inches.
Except the early spring season
which is a limit of 2 and none
over 19.5 inches.
Sauger;
there is a combined with Walleye
limit on Sauger for Lake of the
Woods and Rainy River. In the
summer you may not have more than
6 and you reduce this number per
Walleye you have in possession.
Therefore you may have 4 Walleyes
and 2 Sauger, or you may have 6
Sauger and no Walleye. The total
number is 6 and you may not have
more than 4 Walleye. In the winter
that number is 8 and no more than
4 may be Walleye.
Northern;
3 is the limit and the slot is
from 30-40 inches. You may possess
one trophy over 40 inches.
Yellow
Perch; limit is 20 fish per day
with no more than 40 fish in
possession.
Burbot;
or more commonly referred to as an
Eel Pout or Lawyer have a
continuous season with no limit.
Lake
Sturgeon; you may only harvest 1
per license year. Sturgeon must be
from 45-50 inches or a trophy may
be possessed if over 75 inches.
You must have a Sturgeon Harvest
Tag which can be purchased with
your license for an additional
$5.00. There are certain times of
the year that this season is
closed although you may catch and
release.
Tulibee;
have a continuous season with no
limit.
Suckers;
have a continuous season with no
limit.
Small
Mouth Bass; 6 may be possessed and
the season is continuous.
Trout;
limit of 5 fish and not more than
3 of them can be over 16 inches.
Open season is from April 29th
through October 1st.
