Lake of the Woods Original Weekly Fishing Report!

There will be lots of sunshine and highs in the 80s this week

After a bit of a lull due to the weather, the bite caught fire.  The Garden Island area has been excellent.  Jigging with shiners, or pulling spinners with leeches and crawlers has been working well.  On the south side of the island, 22 to 28 feet near the shoals has been excellent.  Success has also been reported in the reef areas near Knight and Bridges.

Border View Lodge hosted 2 MTT Walleye events this weekend.  The two one-day tournaments had a great turnout with over 50 boats each day.  Other than the wind on Friday, the weather cooperated nicely.  Thanks to Mike and Renee Holt for another well run tournament!

There will be lots of sunshine and highs in the 80s this week.  Looks like it’s shaping up to be a great week for the 4th!
