The leaves are starting to change colors

Drifting with frozen shiners or crawlers off of Pine Island has been the trend the last few days! There has been a nice school of Walleye along Pine Island and with the strong south wind it has been nice having a shorter boat ride. 14-18 feet of water was a good depth, although some days it was difficult drifting under 2mph. Many nice size keepers from 16-18 inch along with a few big ones and lots of little ones.
We have had some days fishing the north and west ends of the lake this past week. Down rigging is still very effective although the bait fishing activity is getting much stronger now and should continue to improve as the days go by.
The temperatures are starting to cool down, this week shows highs maybe touching 70 degrees with 50’s overnight. The leaves are starting to change colors.
Our winter rates are posted on the website. Book now to get your pick of dates.
There is still major road construction in Baudette. The bridge is now open and traffic is diverted through town on side streets. The impact is minimal unless you really need to be on main street in town.
