Lake of the Woods Original Weekly Fishing Report!

Incredible fishing continues!

June 30, 2019 at 1:28 PM

Incredible fishing continues!  The Walleye Master Guides are still working Big Traverse Bay with jigs and minnows, leeches are also productive.  There was some drifting this past week, but mostly anchored and jigging in 30 plus feet of water.  Once again, there were many big Walleye caught.  We have had great action and bringing back some fresh Walleye for dinner, broiled, deep fried, regular or Cajun, what a treat!  We are starting to see a large school form just outside the Lighthouse Gap in 31 feet.

We are fortunate to live in such a great place, coming up this week we are going to share it with many deserving Veterans.  The Annual Pay It Forward event starts tomorrow and goes through the 4th.  We are looking forward to another great event.  It is earlier than normal; we moved the date forward to make space for the World Ploughing Contest at the end of August.  Also, ahead this week is the MTT summer tournament, good luck contestants!  On Thursday the 4th we will be hosting a Corn Hole Tournament; we are planning a great day on our huge deck!

Summer time temps ahead this week, with highs into the 80’s and lows in the 60’s.

We still have some space available in July and August and we expect an awesome bite all summer long.
