LAKE OF THE WOODS ORIGINAL WEEKLY FISHING REPORT October 6th, 2019
The bite continues as we continue to anchor and jig. When the wind permits we spend time on the South end of the lake otherwise we head to the North end. The large school of Walleye just outside the Lighthouse Gap continues to hold there and is still providing a large amount of action. Sorting through many fish results in a nice selection of keepers. The lake action is tough to beat. With lots of current in the river heavier jigs are needed. Some hot jigs are the glow white and chartreuse.
The forecast is showing 3 days in the sixties this week before we drop into the 40’s and then the 30’s for the high and lower 30’s for the low. Don’t forget the rain gear and warm clothes.
The Chili Bowl is this Saturday October 12th. There is still time to register. Call or stop in for a registration form.
Are you looking for some space for a group of 14-18 this fall or winter. Check out Settlers Point. www.settlerspoint.com We have some availability for groups that want to be close to all the action but have a quiet place to stay overnight.
