The fish are moving south! We are optimistic for a great fall bite!

We had a great week with perfect weather for fishing.  We’ve mainly been trolling about 7-10 miles off Pine Island in 32-34 feet of water, but we have seen the start of a little jig bite too. Tom says he’s been having good luck with silver stick baits. We have seen a lot of beautiful fish caught this week, many slot sized walleyes in the 26” – 27” range were released and 28 ½ “and 30“ trophies.

Next week’s forecast looks like partly cloudy to partly sunny with highs in the mid 60’s and lows in the 40’s through Wednesday, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs in the upper 60’s and lows near 40 for Thursday – Saturday.

The Minnesota Tournament Trail Championship is this week, Thursday and Friday. Approximately 75 teams are expected to participate. We already have a bunch of anglers here pre-fishing this week. We wish them all the best of luck!

The leaves are starting to change and the acorns are dropping and the air is crisp. We are excited for a great fall season and hope to see you all.

Winter rates have been posted on our website for a few weeks and the postcard are just about ready to drop in the mail. Call us now to get your pick of dates for your ice fishing trip! We will be at the St. Paul Ice Fishing and Winter Sports Show the first weekend in December.

There is still major road construction in Baudette.  The bridge is now open and traffic is diverted through town on side streets. The impact is minimal unless you really need to be on main street in town.
